Studies in the Painting field provide the necessary theoretical and practical knowledge of painting, drawing, sculpture and related disciplines, which allow the graduate to freely use classical techniques and contemporary media of artistic expression. The core of the Chair are thirteen author’s diploma studios: painting, drawing, interdisciplinary, sculpture, and scenography (supplementary diploma). Studio syllabuses are based on tradition and the most significant phenomena in contemporary art, they have an original character and classes are supervised by teachers who are active artists. A vital addition is formed by classes at technology, composition, graphic art, photography and new media studios. With the possibility of choosing the studios, including from other fields of study, a Painting student has a high degree of control over their curriculum, and the possibility of making a supplementary diploma makes them better prepared for their professional life.
