Intermedia and Digital Techniques Studio
The Studio’s curriculum is based on experience accumulated over more than thirty years of work in the realm of graphic art and new media art. The studio is a new space for creating graphic art that is far from being constrained by traditional techniques, and close to interdisciplinary merging with other branches of art.
The idea behind the teaching process at our studio is to create a firm and clear bridge between tradition and the present day. On the basic stage, the studio prepares the student to occupy the right position in the process of creating multimedia works with the use of new technology. The basis of these creative activities is artistic experience stemming from graphic art and painting. The departure point is the creation of digital images intended for all kinds of projections.
The Studio’s curriculum is aimed at broadly understood openness, openness to different artistic stances, different modes of expression. The notion of interactivity is vital to us, incorporating all surrounding elements into play. Various media instruments at our disposal help us maintain interaction. Reality, illusion, virtuality are all concepts that a student is confronted with all the time, whether realizing their ideas with the help of traditional or most recent techniques. We are interested in interaction between the work and the viewer, as well as the artist and the viewer. It is our intention to make the student locate their message in the space between different media.
